Picturesque America was a two-volume set of books describing and illustrating the scenery of America. It was published by D. Appleton and Company of New York in 1872 and 1874. This is an original antique NOT a reproduction. Items are shrink wrapped on acid free backing and mailed flat. 30-day return policy for any reason. The Washington Elm on Cambridge Common, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. It was supposedly under this tree that George Washington first took command of the American Army on 3 July 1775. The tree lived for approximately 210 years and died in 1923.
