Samuel Howitt (c. 1765 - 1822) was a prolific English artist who produced numerous etchings and illustrations of hunting. He did not sign this painting but his name is under the left bottom corner (Photo #2, Photo #3). "Hare Hunting. 1." was published by Edward Orme, and sold on March 1st 1807 to the King Engraver & Publisher (see the text at the bottom of photo #4). The print is in very good condition considering it is old (but I don't know how old exactly). The frame is in excellent condition. The outside dimensions are 17.5 inches high and 21.5 inches long.
