This is an original lithograph entitled "Birmingham" being a caricature of Philip Henry Muntz MP by Ape (pseudonym of Carlo Pellegrini) published in Vanity Fair magazine on August 7, 1875. The sheet is 15 by 10 inches. The biographical sketch of Muntz from the magazine is pasted to the verso. The lithograph is very slightly spotted but is otherwise in good condition. Muntz was the mayor of Birmingham, England and was an influential politician.
