Print is in very good condition. Please see all photos. This is an original steel engraving print titled Emigrants Crossing the Plains, created from a painting by Felix Octavius Carr Darley. It was published as part of the book Picturesque America by D. Appleton & Co. around 1873-1874. The engraving is a historical representation of 19th-century pioneers traveling westward across the American plains in covered wagons. The scene depicts an ox-drawn covered wagon in the foreground, with a long train of settlers stretching out to the horizon.
