Antique Steel Engraving 3x4” CSA Gen. Stonewall Jackson after the Winchester Photo c.1862. A nicely detailed engraving much like the style on some late 1800s American Currency. The Jacket has more texture almost giving a 3D effect. The print is small with an applied thin black paper matting to make an oval portrait of Jackson. Stains and foxing noted. The etching is applied to a cabinet card like cardboard backing. The piece looks like it was framed at one time. See photos for details. A nice print.
