SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 45.5 x 17 cm (18 x 6.75 inches) plus margins with a blank back (large). ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Lithograph and original study by T.S. Boys. Thomas Shotter Boys (1803–1874) was an English watercolour painter and lithographer. Boys was born at Pentonville, London, on 2 January 1803. He was articled to the engraver George Cooke. Boys was a member of the Institute of Painters in Water Colours, and of several foreign artistic societies. PROVENANCE: Produced for 'Original Views of London As It Is Drawn from Nature expressly for this work and lithographed by Thomas Shotter Boys Exhibiting its Principal Streets and Characteristic Accessories, Public Buildings in Connexion with the Leading Thoroughfares, &c, &c, &c with Historical and Descriptive Notices of the Views by Charles Ollier, 1842.' .
