He studied art at the Benito Juarez University in Oaxaca (1983-86). He studied lithography with Japanese print-maker Zinzaburu Takeda at the Taller de Artes Rufino Tamayo. He is well known for his, detailed drypoint, woodcuts and brightly colored paintings.
