I have no clue, about the age of this hand colored engraving, but is incredibly well framed and in great condition. It’s titled “South Sea Whale Fishery” Published in London, January 1, 1825, after a painting by British artist, William John Huggins. It show two whale ships of the coast of Bouro (Borneo), with one of the whaling skiffs destroyed by a wounded whale. The frame measures 29 1/2”x 25 1/4” and probably cost hundreds of dollars to frame.
